About Mandeigh
.jpg)

I’m an artist based in rural Scotland, working mainly in oil paint.

My work explores myth, memory, and the sacred — particularly the Divine Feminine and Masculine as living forces.
Horses appear often in my paintings, not as decoration, but as messengers and mirrors along with other four legged and two winged creatures.

I used to work in conservation and environmental science. That background still shapes how I see the world — especially in how land, body, and story connect.

These days, I paint from a small workroom beside my cottage, with two greyhounds usually asleep nearby. The work is slow, intuitive, and layered. Some pieces take weeks. Some arrive in a few days.
But they all ask something of me — and of the viewer.

The paintings aren’t always easy to explain.
They’re not meant to be.
They’re doorways.
And you’re most welcome to step through.
