Portals Divine
“There are thresholds we cross without ever moving. There are journeys taken by standing still...and there are portals; unexpected, unassuming, that open not to another place, but to a deeper way of seeing.”
Portals Divine asks...
What does it mean to remember who you are, as woman, as man, as artist, as soul?
Where does the Divine speak, and are we willing to listen?

Portals Divine began with a decision to book an exhibition before the body of work existed. Developed independently and without funding, the project has grown from that initial idea into a substantial new collection of large-scale figurative oil paintings, created specifically for the exhibition.
This series unfolds as a visual pilgrimage, from disconnection to remembrance, from fracture to wholeness. At its core lies the alchemy of the sacred reunion: horse and human, moon and stag, breath and heartbeat, him and her, self and soul.
“Portals Divine” is a journey into the liminal, of the sacred woven into the ordinary, of archetypes embodied in skin and breath. The works in this collection are not simply paintings; they are doorways. They are icons, mirrors and invitations to witness the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine not as abstract concepts, but as living forces moving through human form, myth, memory, and metaphor.
The figures do not pose. They speak with a quiet intensity. Each composition is steeped in symbolism, portals, and portals within portals, anchoring lived emotion within modern day mythology.
Emerging from years of equestrian art, this body of work represents a shift, not just stylistically, but spiritually. A movement away from surface into soul. From showing to revealing.
These works are the current pieces that will be shown at a solo Exhibition in Elgin, Scotland throughout December 2026 and in a two day special showing at St Laurence Church, Forres in March 2027.
